Dr. Adam Sandmaier DC, BCom

Dr. Sandmaier is born and raised in Sherwood Park and grew up around sports with an active lifestyle. It was his drive to help others that led him to become a chiropractor. After graduating with his Bachelor of Commerce from University of Alberta, he went to chiropractic school and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Through his 10 years in practice, he has become proficient in a wide array of chiropractic treatments. This broad background gives Dr. Sandmaier a unique perspective on how the body functions and heals.

He focuses on athletic and family care, and assists his patients with performance amplification, pain reduction and body control. His holistic approach includes joint manipulation (adjustments), soft tissue rehab, dynamic stretching, take-home exercises, and nutritional coaching. This style of treatment allows each patient the opportunity to become involved with their own outcome and enables his patients to restore function while allowing the body to adapt and heal.

One of Dr. Sandmaier’s passions is to provide children with excellent chiropractic care. In 2012, Dr. Sandmaier spent time in Prague, Czech Republic, where he studied the neurodevelopmental aspects of motor control in a child’s first critical years of life. He is certified by the Prague School of Rehabilitation in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS).

In addition to his clinical life, Dr. Sandmaier is a proud husband to his bride, Holly, and father to his two wonderful children, Henry and Halia. His hobbies include weightlifting, bowhunting, and he also has a passion for nose to tail cooking on his smoker. On extended time away from the office, he loves hanging loose in Hawaii with his family.
